Microsoft has announced that Azure Reserved Instances will no longer have to be paid in advance from 1st October for CSP customers.
Organisations are already able to take advantage of discounts of up to 70% in return for a 1 or 3-year commitment to their Azure Reserved Instances, but historically companies have been required to pay the full cost upfront to qualify. However, Microsoft have now confirmed that Reserved Instances will be able to be paid for monthly in arrears, making the move to Azure from legacy on-premise or Private Cloud environments even more accessible and cost-effective.
Anthony Green, Commercial Director at Transparity, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses of all sizes to make the move to Microsoft’s Public Cloud platform without having to pay in advance; something which is often an unwelcome expense and a potential barrier to an organisation’s digital transformation. Companies will now be able to realise all the benefits of Azure – such as eliminating capital expenditure, greater agility and flexibility to scale on demand, and Enterprise-grade security and compliance tools – for a more wallet-friendly monthly cost. Transparity customers leveraging CSP through us benefit even further, with our inclusive support ensuring that they are taken care of throughout their journey and beyond.”
For businesses looking to make the move to Azure, there has clearly never been a better time. If you’re ready to get started on your digital transformation journey, Transparity are offering organisations a complimentary Cloud Strategy Workshop, where we’ll take a detailed look at your environment and discuss with you how Azure can solved your unique challenges, reduce your support costs and improve your infrastructure availability.
