Women in Transparity International Women's day

Transparity are Celebrating International Women’s Day!

International Women’s Day (IWD) is an annual event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women, and increasing visibility of women, whilst continuing the call for action to eradicate inequality and close the gender gap around the world.  We invite you to join us as we dedicate a day to the women of the world and to the women of Transparity.

Today we celebrate the one year anniversary of our internal network for the women of Transparity ‘wit’.

Launched last year on IWD, with the sponsorship of the CEO and led by our People & Culture Partner, Michelle Wilson, ‘wit’ it is a platform for women in the business to come together, to support, share, inspire and uplift each other.  We’ve hosted a number of roundtable sessions; learnt from a coach about developing our confidence; shared resources such as book recommendations and podcasts; been a listening ear when things are tough; learnt about our strengths and how we should be playing towards them; provided membership to The WIT Network for training and mentoring; and that is just some of the things at the start of this journey.

We believe we are changing perceptions and attitudes, creating opportunities and making a difference.  Our drive to amplify women in Transparity and women in tech has seen our female headcount grow from 10 to 33 in a year.

This has resulted in an increase of female representation at the Senior Leadership level; an increase of females in technical roles including 2 outstanding data consultants; and 50% of our Academy apprentices joining us are female.

Today we celebrate the women of Transparity and their fantastic achievements over this last year, starting with a Female in Focus with our newly promoted Head of Sales, Jessica Pattison (congratulations!) followed by our outstanding Support Technician Apprentice, Chelsea Ward.

Today we are taking part in a number of events, including attending Microsoft’s IWD event and attending sessions this evening hosted by The WIT Network.  Alongside, we have released related content to the entire organisation in partnership with LinkedIn Learning about breaking the bias and allyship.  This is the start of Chapter 2.

Transparity’s Women in Focus: Jessica Pattison

Our first Female in Focus of the day is with Jessica Pattison, our newly appointed Head of Sales. Jess gives us a snapshot into her career and finding that work/life balance in a remote working landscape.

In the new year Microsoft is implementing changes to their Enterprise Agreements (EA) which are set to impact how businesses manage their Microsoft software and services, particularly for those using cloud-based solutions. The changes are in line with Microsoft’s broader business strategy to streamline licensing and emphasise subscription-based models.

Before Copilot, our Sales Specialists, like Jamie Cronk, had to balance customer calls, detailed note-taking, and proposal creation, which was time-consuming and prone to human error. By using Copilot in Teams and Word, our Sales team have reported a really satisfying increase in productivity and accuracy.
